You earn points when a reviewer approves one of your submitted sessions. The review process evaluates the quality and relevance of the screen activity you captured. Points are awarded server-side after approval and reflected in your profile. You can track your total in the Profile tab of Account Settings and on the analytics dashboard.
Sessions can be rejected if the recorded content does not meet review standards - for example, if the activity is too short, not relevant, or the recording quality is insufficient. When a session is rejected, you receive a notification in your inbox. Review the outcome and use it to inform how you structure future sessions before submitting them.
Relic automatically pauses recording when it detects that the active window may contain sensitive content, such as banking sites or payment pages. This protection runs entirely on your device. When auto-pause triggers, Relic stops capturing immediately and posts a notification. You can resume recording once you navigate away from the sensitive context. Auto-pause is a heuristic and may not catch every sensitive window, so you should always review your recordings in the editor before submitting.
Yes. Open the session in the Relic editor before you submit and delete any clips you do not want to include. Deleted clips are removed from your local storage and are never uploaded. Nothing is sent to Relic’s servers until you explicitly click Submit on a session.
From the Relic sign-in screen, click Forgot Password? and enter your email address. Relic sends a password reset link to that address. Click the link in the email to open the password reset flow and set a new password. Your new password must be at least 8 characters and include at least one uppercase letter and one number. If you are already signed in and want to change your password, go to Account Settings -> Account Actions -> Change Password.
You can enter a referral code when you create your Relic account on the sign-up screen. The referral code field is optional - enter the 6-character code from the person who referred you before completing registration. When you sign up with a valid referral code, the referrer earns bonus points. You cannot apply a referral code to an existing account after sign-up.To share your own referral code with others, go to Account Settings -> Referrals. Your code is displayed there and you can copy it to your clipboard with one click.
Relic currently supports macOS only. Download the Apple Silicon (arm64) build if you are using an M-series Mac, or the x64 build if you are using an Intel Mac. Screen recording permission is managed by macOS and must be granted before Relic can capture anything.
Deleting your account is permanent and irreversible. Your account and its associated data are removed. Once deletion is complete, you are signed out immediately. If you want a copy of your data before deleting, export it first from Account Settings -> Profile -> Data Export. The export saves a JSON file containing your profile, sessions, recordings, comments, notifications, preferences, and analytics events.
Relic does not publish a guaranteed review window. Reviews are completed by the Relic review team as sessions come in. You receive an in-app notification and, if enabled, a desktop toast when your session is approved or rejected. Check your notifications inbox in the app for the latest status on your submissions.
Relic captures your screen activity to produce the recordings you submit for review. On macOS, apps must be explicitly granted screen recording access by the operating system before they can capture any display content. This permission is required for Relic’s core functionality. You can view or change it at any time in System Settings -> Privacy & Security -> Screen Recording. Relic cannot capture anything from your screen until this permission is granted.
